So recently our van's brakes have started to act funny so we stopped driving it. We plan on taking it in on Monday to get fixed. While not using the van we have been using Cody's two door 1991 Chevy Lumina. Trying to get two front facing car seats in and out of that car is trying at best and trying to get two rambunctious toddlers in their designated seats as like trying to wrestle with a bull. Its insane! So we decided to go look at buying a new car (new for us actually).
The car that is ontop of our list is 2003 to 2005 Toyota Corolla, but will settle for a Pontiac Vibe or Mazda Protege. Well, looking for a car in our desired choices of make, model and price range that does not have too much mileage or isnt a rebuilt title is like trying to find a tiny needle in a very large hay stack. It seems that everything for sale used is a rebuilt title! We refuse to buy a rebuilt title vehicle. Our van is a rebuilt title, but we didn't know that when we bought it, and I ended up driving it into a tree. It wasn't my fault, though. The front axel had broke while I turned a croner and the van couldn't be staightened so the van ended up kissing a tree.
That is why we will not buy a rebuilt title.
Now, as fun as test driving cars is, I strongly recomend not taking toddlers along with you. Logan (our 21 month old) literally screamed the whole time we were in the car we were test driving because it wasn't the one he was used to riding in. Lizzie, on the otherhand, cried because we wouldn't let her drive (she's three). So last Saturday was insanely crazy and stressful.
On Wednesday I had a doctors appointment for depression and to get my thyroid checked. Well I am bipolar and am now on medication for it. I also have meds for anxiety attacks. Joy huh? My thyroid, I found out actually is working which is good. But there goes my excuse as to why I gain weight so easily lol.
SO, after my doctors appointment Cody and I took the kids to walmart to buy a pool for the kids and to fill out our perscriptions (Cody has real bad allergies). The kids were so excited about the pool. But Cody and I were not too thrilled with the costs of our persriptons. $105. What the Freak?!
So we got home and ate dinner then immidiatly set up the pool outside. Cody and I pumped the thing up while the kids watched excitedly. But unfortunatly they didn't get to swim in it that night. They did get in it the next day. Cody came home for lunch and filled up the pool (not too full though). I lathered the kids in sunscreen and they played in the water for over an hour. Needless to say they were not all too happy about getting out for nap time.
Well, thats our week so far. I just got back from buying Lizzie a swimsuit since she didn't have one and am not too thrilled with the fact that Wal-Mart was out of Huggies' Little Swimmers swim diapers. I had a coupon and everything!!
Clearing my head.
